Small diameter wheels for N gauge

Morning all

 

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a set of small diameter wheels for n gauge trains? Ideally the wheel needs to be between 3 and 5mm in diameter.

 

Any suggestions would be most welcome - bonus points for pointing me in the direction of a retailer selling them.

Hi Stephen

 

You should be able to get 5.1mm diameter wheels from the likes of Parkside Dundas, N Train or ATM.

 

Smaller wheels you might find some from Fox Valley Models but you might find you have to order from the USA.

Do you need pin-point ends to the axles? If not, you may be able to find some of the small wheels Farish used to use on the bogies of their steam locos.

North American 28" wheels should be about 4.5mm. As mentioned above, Fox Valley is a good source for quality ones.
