RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted January 14, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 14, 2018 Hello Going through my various wagons, I have discovered an old Poole made OAA wagon in Railfreight red/grey where, looking from above, the wagon sides have clearly bowed inwards as if they are warping in some way. Is this a common problem with older versions or do I have a one off dud that needs to be dumped in the spares bin?
Mr chapman
Some old coal wagons I've had have warped slightly. Just add a load to push the sides back out. Or in your case see if the roof comes off and add a block in the middle to ease the walls out.
Stevelewis
It was/is quite common to find that Poole produced rolling stock especially the earlier ones show signs of warping etc.
Mr chapman
As a side note a lot of the old Farish 00 coaching stock is prone to warping.
