Northmoor MPD
Afternoon all! It’s been a while since I’ve done any modelling but nipping in the loft a few weeks ago and seeing an unused Tim horn 3ft by 1ft baseboard and boxes of buildings and stuff I’d not touched for years I’d decided to have a go at buildings a micro layout. Here’s my attempt... a fictitious country station with a goods yard and a coal merchants yard set in the 1950s/1960s. I started the layout 2 weeks ago so all this has happened in 14 days on and off after work. I’ve included photos from the planning stage up until the point I am at now. There’s still much to do: Various bits of painting and weathering, steps to build to go from the bridge to the platform, goods yard to finish, painting the sides of the rails and more detail to add. I’m pleased with how it’s turning out and I’m looking forward to having a play once it’s finished! Hopefully next week. I’ll post more pictures soon once I’ve done a little more to it... Cheers Adam Edited February 3, 2018 by Northmoor MPD

Northmoor MPD
Getting closer to completion... An ex LMS 3f tank shunts a box van out of the goods dock and into the platform to join a 20t brake van then departs with a short freight and the morning stopper calls at the station consisting of an ex LMS 3f tender Loco and a couple of mk1 coaches, seen from the bridge.

RMweb Gold jamest Posted February 6, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 6, 2018 (edited) Hi, Excellent work, as others have already said. A very nice scene for photos and a nice manageable size to play with at home. I'd like to turn all my spare points, ply, buildings, etc. into something similar. You've inspired me to get on with it. All the best, James Edited February 6, 2018 by jamest
Northmoor MPD
Thanks chaps! Glad I’ve been able to prompt you James! It’s exactly what I did, noticed my boxes of stuff in the loft and thought I need to do something with this lot! Once it’s completely finished I may start on a similar sized extension
Northmoor MPD
A busy post man has dropped off hattons brilliant new ICI hopper wagons and Bachmanns new class 66779 evening star today. Here’s a few pictures of them on the layout, although the layout is set 60 years before the 66 was built I still couldn’t resist a few pictures

Cheers Adam Lovely little layout Adam. I see you've already laid claim to the name of my loft layout, It has never got beyond the frame and baseboard stage but I do have the BR (LMR) totem sign for it.
