40034_Nick
Are others also having problems with the blue Hornby coontainer flats? All 3 Derailing all the time.. I think it might be the sliding coupling joiners sticking.. My Bachmanns are trouble free.. Edited March 17, 2018 by 40034_Nick
Pete the Elaner
I am always suspicious of Hornby's back-to-backs because they are very inconsistent. The problem may well be elsewhere, but setting these correctly is always a good thing, it is a 1-off job & easy to do on a wagon.

I think it might be the sliding coupling joiners sticking.. My Bachmanns are trouble free.. I use a little dry lubrication powder (e,g, Labelle 134) on the coupling cams - as I do with all Hornby diesel locos with cam coupling devices - and never had problems since. Others have said a rub with a soft graphite pencil does the same job.
Marcyg
The wheels Hornby used are shocking. 9mm Romfords would be best. Also, they are so light, they have nothing to keep them on the track. I've Blu-Tac'd M16 nuts inside the containers on mine to weigh them down
