Photobucket Cheap Subscription

Just seen on another forum I’m a member of. Apparently Photobucket’s subscription price is temporarily $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year. Only gripe is that it will rise to $2.49 per month and $26.99 per year on May 22 (ie tomorrow).

Apparently they’ve a new CEO who didn’t like what had gone on since they ruined it last year. Someone has confirmed that rejoining will activate any broken links in forum posts etc.

 

No use if you’ve hosted content elsewhere, but maybe of use to some.

Hmmm, wonder if they will refund me the difference in the £59 subscription I paid 4 months back to keep all my 3rd party links alive?

Used PB for a while ages ago, it was always cumbersome and loaded with ads; its surprising they're still around.

No ads with subscription I’m told.

 

I never used it anyway, and inclined to agree that holding their customer’s photos to ransom is no way to conduct business, but some may take it as a better alternative to re-hosting everything.

hmmm, you can tell photobucket has gone back to its old 'modus operendum' as its gone very very clunky slow again, no issues when i was about the only user left, all that lovely bandwidth now its taking an age to upload and disply pictures

 

hope its a short term problem
