swsjames
I am having trouble removing the body shell from my Heljan Manning-Wardle 009 tank. I've removed the 3 screws as per the Heljan instructions, but nothing will budge. I don't want to force anything for fear of damaging the valve gear! RMweb Premium Nile Posted July 9, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 9, 2018 You only need to remove two screws to release the body, the outer most. It's a fairly tight fit around the chassis block. To get it off place the loco right way up, hold the cab floor down with something (like a screwdriver) and pull the cab up gently. It might need some wiggling. The front platform is also part of the chassis, so you also use that to hold it down without touching the valve gear.
