ianmacc
Just thinking it may be useful to have a thread of cars and vehicles that are useful for 00 on here as a reference point. I mean those from non-specialists either new or discontinued. Useful for those gaps not yet plugged. Something along the lines of make model availability and scale where known. A thread for N etc may be useful but I’ll leave that to others. No point for 0 as 1:43 is a recognised global scale. I would start with Husky from another thread and their Ford Zephyr Mk3 Farnham, Mercedes 220, Lancia Flaminia, Jaguar saloon, forward control Land Rover, Citroen Safari all around 1:72 or less. Their H0 Scale Commer Walk Thru too. Matchbox did a Vauxhall Victor F Series (must be close) Citroen Safari and others. Not sure how to make a table of them all. BernardTPM
Matchbox did a Vauxhall Victor F Series (must be close) Citroen Safari and others. Matchbox did the Citroen saloon (66a), but to the same (4mm) scale as the Husky Safari version. Other 4mm (or very close - 1:75 to 1:77) Matchbox include 2b Muir Hill dumper (though the driver, if still attached, is too small), 21c Commer milk float (early grille), 47a Trojan van, 60a Morris J2 pick-up, 65a Jaguar 3.4 (Mk.I) and 70a Ford Thames estate car (minibus). If you start stretching towards 1:72 there are more.
