Exhibitions on Google Maps

In my day job, I've been working on a project that, at least theoretically, has nothing to do with model railways. It's based around the Google Places API and using that to generate local listings of community venues.

 

Something I've noticed, though, which has raised a smile with me (although not with some of the people I'm working with, as they find it rather irritating), is that a lot of event venues that are used for model railway exhibitions are illustrated on Google Maps with photos of model railways. 

 

For example, here's the Salvation Army in South Shields. Being a place of worship, you might expect to find it illustrated by photos related to religion. But, no, it's a model railway exhibition:

The Chapel-en-le_Frith Leisure Centre is a bit better served by photos of its primary purpose, but still.... scroll down in the photos for one relevant to our hobby:
