I think you could put a few Tags on the relay boxes and the wall. As for taking off a lid on the trunking, try the end section, it would be easier to hack at them. Hi Geoff thanks for your positive comments. I think a few tags will look great on the wall and relay boxes. Do I need to had paint them on or can you buy them already done. Scalescenes had a sheet of graffiti in their scratch builder's yard, I think you could print them on decal paper. also some of the tags are only a sign in black so could be done freehand
RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted March 19, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 19, 2019 Thanks Geoff I think I will be doing the tags by freehand as it more rewarding when they are completed.
RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted March 21, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 21, 2019 Ballasting has been completed. I used the mid brown colour ballast as some of the real life railways have this colour, depending on area. The lid has been left off the trunking and you can see the wire cable. Will post a picture later once ballasting has dried off a little.

RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted May 9, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted May 9, 2019 Hi just a little update. My a place to watch trains diorama is undergoing a revamp. The hillside and wall area I have started from scratch as the brick card was not to my liking. The relay boxes are staying as is, but the cable trunking has been ripped up and will be modelled with missing and chipped or broken lids. i hope it all sounds ok and hope to have some pictures up very soon. RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted May 12, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted May 12, 2019 Today I have been busy forming the railway embankment with layer of cardboard. This once set will be followed with paper mache laid over the top of the cardboard and once dried will be painted before applying the grass. This afternoon I will be busy weathering the rails.
RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted May 12, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted May 12, 2019 Little more completed before I start nights tomorrow. Stone wall is fitted, just the coping slabs to source now. The rails have also been weathered.

TechnicArrow
By focusing on such a small area, you've already achieved a fantastic level of detail, and it's not even ballasted yet. Very impressive, I hope you complete this one!
RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted May 15, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted May 15, 2019 Thanks TechnicArrow for your nice comments. RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted May 17, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted May 17, 2019 Hi the diorama is taking shape nicely. The drainage cover has been fitted which I have seen coloured in a blue. The ballasting is finished but needs time to dry out now. I hope you like the progress so far, still plenty to do.
RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted May 18, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted May 18, 2019 Hi today whilst I waited for the ballasting drying, I made a start on adding a coat of poly filla to the embankment area. More to follow..
