forest2807
Early research suggests this loco was fitted with a Stones boiler and a universal port on the roof. Would any kind person be able to provide a photo of the Bachmann model’s rendition of these areas to ensure they are correct? Thank you.

45125
When fitted with a steam generator the small plate just behind the cab would be were the exhaust port would be.
wirey33
Bachmann have got this correct. The bodyshell, with both ends flush, is only suitable for 47522 and 47190, which they have also released.
cheesysmith
Kiss photos, as 522 changed cab during its like due to accidents. Also, when repainted into green, I think it had its former boiler roof replaced with plain roof.
forest2807
Thank you - that is just what I needed to see. I appreciate your time and effort to post that.
forest2807
Kiss photos? For clarification, the reason I’m asking about this is I have a battered old Lima version of 522, but someone has sanded the boiler plate detail off. I wanted to know what details I need to replicate with plasticard.
RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted June 19, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 19, 2019 There was a previous thread which may have some useful links
forest2807
Thank you Signal Engineer - that was most useful. Judging by the photos in that thread it seems to me that the Bachmann model is correct and therefore I need to reinstate the panels on the roof of my Lima version.
