sb67
Had a good day at this years Basildon model railway show, a good mix of layouts, although it was really warm in the main hall! A few layouts I've never seen, I really liked Ruffles Road and Neptune St is always a favourite with me. I also liked Tower Pier, Docklands Goods and Lindsell Town, came away with a good few ideas. Thought I'd share a few pics Steve. Ruffles Road Lindsell Town Tower Pier Neptune St Watchet Quay Docklands Goods

sb67
You're welcome Blvrace. I really enjoyed watching the layout, I like the stock and the setting, the sound of the Class 101 DMU is pretty good too! Steve.
RMweb Premium mezzoman253 Posted July 9, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 9, 2019 This is my local show, so I went along Saturday morning. I too enjoyed the selection that sb67 liked, especially Ruffles Road. I had two or three stops watching that one. Yes, the main hall was very warm, even though it wasn't crowded. The remote hall was much better. Catering looked good and seemed popular, although I didn't sample it. A couple of observations. Your website needs a good overhaul. Lots of out of date info'. Exihibitions shows 2015 as the last entry, nothing for this year. In fact I found it difficult to find this exhibition advertised anywhere, even on here I couldn't find the dates. I assumed it was this weekend just gone, as I'd been in previous years, but I only got that confirmed by PMing Phil JW of this parish. Nice to chat with you. There didn't appear to be any car park marshalls about when I arrived around 11:00. I did eventually find a spot but I knew where to go from previous visits. I'll be back next year. I'm biased though as it's the era I model too. Are your ground signals scratch built or bought in? I'm looking for some and those on offer, as far as I've found, are not near enough scale. Thanks, Rob

There has been problems with the web site, so bad in fact that that we are in the process of preparing a new one. Glad you enjoyed the show and hope to see you next year.
