Stentor
I'm selling some model vehicles on behalf of a friend's estate. I've got these two which don't seem to have any manufacturer's identification on them. Can anybody help me please and tell me who manufactured them and what they are models of ? Thanks for your help. //Simon

Hroth
Yes, the first is a Matchbox 1-75 series Bedford Removal van. The second is a Meccano Dinky 33r Mechanical Horse, though its missing the cab roof! (and its trailer) Edited August 5, 2019 by Hroth 1
Prometheus
Sadly, the latter would have had some real value had it been undamaged and with its trailer. Tony 1

Following your lead I think the green van is a Matchbox 1956 Bedford van. // Simon
Stentor
I've got another one to identify if I may. Any idea what this Dinky model is based upon ? To my uneducated eyes it has a Ford look to it. Ta. //Simon Edited August 5, 2019 by Stentor I had an idea ...

It’s a generic “motor truck” not based on any specific model, which was often the practice of Meccano in the early period. http://vintagebritishdiecasts.co.uk/dinky/dinky22cpostx.htm

The price is surprising as well although I appreciate the condition of the one I will be selling is far from mint. //Simon

Yes, unfortunately values of models like this plummet dramatically if not “mint in box”. Just having having a box normally doubles any value! I’m afraid none of your three would fetch much more than a pound or so each, at best. Their damage, missing parts etc are pretty extreme even as candidates for refurbishment. 1
