You can put a small amount of glue on the faces of the rapidos, I like Tacky Wax, but others use Copydex or canopy glue. Or you can replace the couplers with something like the Dapol dummy knuckle couplers, or some fixed bars, although that'll compromise their ability to go around sharp curves due to the loss of lateral movement.
