Ian Major
John, you have made a very nice job there. The scratch built switch gear looks very good. I noticed the problems you had with clearance for the buffer extensions. In such cases I make my buffers self contained so that nothing protrudes through the beam. It does need access to a lathe to make replacement rams. It strikes me there is an opportunity for some parts manufacturer to commercially produce such items. (Or does someone already do this?) What's your next project? I am looking forward to it. Ian.
brossard
Thanks Ian. The buffer thing is my fault, I should have checked the clearance with the solebars before fixing. As it is they all work after me fettling the inside of the solebars. Next project already well under way: It is a bit more involved but I'm happy with it. I also have a CRT Models 6 wheeled LNER brake. The goal is to make up a milk train with the two Dapol milk tanks I have. John
brossard
In a fit of weathering I got around to the van: Airbrush and powders. John
