muddy water
Are you going to use any underlay for noise insulation and ballast shoulder?

No Muddy, No Underlay as the Locos will be at Crawl Speed, and certainly no Ballast Shoulder as it's a Yard, and so the will be some in filling between some Tracks to lose some Sleepers in the Ash / Cinder / Ballast that forms most Yards. 10

Looking forward to seeing you do this effect as it's similar to what I want to achieve. 1

I did a similar thing on the Yard in my Kings Moreton Layout also adding a few oily puddles as well.

Who built a loco yard in a field? You will have the farmer chasing you for worrying his sheep with your smelly, noisy diesels!!

sb67
Looking good Andy, what wires have you used for your main feed and droppers, if you're doing that? love the Saltey photo, that is a great effect to go for. Steve.

Steve. Hi Steve, on this Layout I've used the wire from Peco, it comes in various colours. I have used electrical flex before, but all mine have ventured SOUF which is a bit of a BU66ER.

muddy water
You have changed again! Now we know why you still had manual points! I was looking to copying your first plan. Now it looks like you have copied me! I guess there are only so many ways of doing a layout. I am sure some of the early railway companies only had a few plans for stations and made them fit the location.

BTW I do like a good Bluesman, George T on here and I had The G-TAP Blues Band (George Tait / Andy Peters), many years ago.
RMweb Premium Ray H Posted November 29, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 29, 2019 We had one of those Class 153 in this neck of the woods Andy. There's something about that livery that makes it so attractive on the single vehicle so I bought one even though it is too long for my layout.

In the previous pic there was separate feeds to each Point and Siding, it's now linked as a sort of Bus Bar.
