SD85
Hi, Looking to convert a Bachmann 9F from the single to double chimney version. I could always get a double chimneyed body and switch them over, but I'd prefer it if I could just replace the chimney on my current loco. However I am having trouble finding a suitable replacement casting part. Does anyone know which supplier I need to use for this particular chimney? Thanks
RMweb Gold Corbs Posted January 6, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) It may be too crude for what you want but there are lots of the old 'Evening Star' chimneys about. You'd need to paint it black and drill out the holes to represent another member of the class, though. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-S8305-Class-9F-Double-Chimney-Copper-Colour/323008885702?epid=25013264297&hash=item4b34d473c6:g:clwAAOSwKOZb~WNR Only issue is it may just be the copper cap rather than the whole chimney.
