RMweb Premium PMP Posted February 18, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 18, 2020 (Caution, from memory!) Remove central cab section first, it needs a very fine shim at the base each side, gently levering outwards to release the internal clips. The cab section will lift vertically. There are two cowlings either side of the cab on top of the bonnets these are held in place by the cab. They release with the cab uncovering the superstructure screws. The cab detail mould lifts out (memory fade here), may have clips. Undo screws, bonnets have clips at outer ends so lift cab end first to release. Wiring etc packed in tight, so caution removing and replacing bonnets regarding trapped wiring. Its a few years since mine was apart, some treat above with a degree of caution. I do recall the cab fitting being like the class 15, so fairly confident on that element. No class 14’s were harmed in my dissasembly!
RMweb Premium Michael Edge Posted February 18, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 18, 2020 Yes, I got that far but what happens next? I will need to get the mechanism out of the footplate/buffer beams.
