dseagull
The 8th (at present!) scrolling ad on the centre of http://www.gaugemaster.com/index.html is for a free sample of the Noch Laser-Cut Mini range. I ordered my sample on Friday afternoon, and it arrived this morning - as an SSAE is required, yours may take longer if you put a second class stamp on it! Anyway; The full range, complete with some superb pictures showing the detail is here My sample was Rhubarb! - Not sure if it is a random choice, or if everyone will get Rhubarb (but no custard) - but at this 'price', you can't complain at all Seeing the quality of this sample has already got me considering if I could squeeze part of an allotment onto my new layout, so the marketing works! No link with Gaugemaster, just a very satisfied 'customer' for this freebie.
RMweb Gold ian Posted May 18, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 18, 2010 Six cabbages for £5.50 - they're more expensive than the real thing!
dseagull
Um, I'm being an idiot. There's two 'sprues' (for want of a better word!) in the sample pack. One is two Rhubarb plants, the other is 4 lots of Reeds! Even better freebie than I thought. Will make one of each up later to see how they look. Butler Henderson
Noch themselves were giving the same away earlier in the year and post free from Germany.
dseagull
And here's a reed - testing the Macro mode on my mobile phone camera. This is about 10 times life size - the longest central 'stem' in reality is 2cm. Would probably look better planted on a layout than on my desk too
craigwelsh
What are they laser cut in? The ferns look good but I think i'll save some cash and get my own done!
dseagull
Appears to be thick paper/very thin card - fairly flexible, but tear-resistant apparently.
