That they get to drive yet some other poor s0ds (a) pay for, (b) service & fix, (c) valet, and (d) get the tab for the fuel.....

Oh yes, and if anyone they really don't like gets in their way they get to shoot at 'em or bomb them.

Oh yes, and they're gettin' paid to drive it....

Is that a Rant?

So you're the one that bvggered up any chance of a Certain Bear & Puppers getting  booted out whilst clutching a nice fat cheque under the SERPS Scheme**.....

(** 104 weeks' money, company payment into the pension scheme plus a couple of £K towards a training scheme)

Does Bear & Puppers hold a grudge?🤣

Mrs SM42 has just breezed in from work and quickly breezed out again to church.

There may be chips later. 😃

Wow I'm impressed Andy that's a remarkably progressive church that the Mrs attends. Producing chips at the service. I wouldn't let on to Bear about that if I were you, else he might come over all religious like and turn up at the church wanting to join.

Flight/Pilot training.

Reconnaissance training, i.e., taking note of details of the terrain over which you are flying with particular emphasis on the deployment and activities of personnel.

Used to call that snooping in my day but I suppose times change.

Did you get any green shield stamps for the petrol?

Just asking as I'm short the decanter.

I knew that the symbol of the early Christian church was a fish but wasn't aware that chips featured as well.

Well I did say it was a very progressive church. Do you think they'd do mushy peas as well if we asked or a pickled gherkin?

They do a nifty line in BBQs.

All times of the year.

Pickled gherkins were available.

You sound a tad jealous Bear.

One could say the same about driving around in Tanks, belting around the coast or rivers in high speed RIBs or expending lots of ammunition and explosives making lots of big bangs and light shows, especially at night with tracer rounds.

Of course all Dave and others were and some still are, tax payers in their own right, so have a moral responsibility for ensuring that your financial contribution through income tax, is being maximised.

Far better to see eight Phantoms making a lot of noise and smoke, that a solitary Grob on an air experience flight.  The Grob you'd probably totally ignore thinking it was a civilian jobbie and not realise it was your money being spent up there for some 15 year old air cadet getting a jolly, but there is no doubt where your tax is going when all eight Phantoms go into reheat.

Not sure.

The Polish Catholic Mission maybe?

We currently have a very jovial priest. Probably the most jolly yet.

Not petrol,  jets are glorified Paraffin Parrots.

Call it what you will, but time spent in reconnaissance is seldom wasted.

The possibility of chips is a direct result of Mrs SM42 being on a high after being Ofsteded on Tuesday.

They got an outstanding.

Shame that in just over 4 months they will be closing permanently.

It was alright for Dave being able to scoot away quickly after going dogging. My mate had to make do with a dustbin that he fell 0ff when a landlord at a pub decided to get to know the barmaid on the bar after closing time one night. The racket he made falling off rather spoilt the evening for the couple.

  1. Why is an "Outstanding" school closing?
  2. Why are Ofsted wasting taxpayers' money on their own and teachers' limited time, inspecting a school if it is known to be closing?

Two questions you might want to ask your local MP.

Why do you not get double-value day on Tuesdays at Argos.  It was always double-stamps day before.
