Stopping Sounds restarting when a short happens

Hi All

 

I remember someone saying how to stop Sound locos from Restarting when a short happens by modifying a CV.

 

Could someone tell me which CV to modify and to what value as i want to do this to my two sound fitted locos before the layouts debut next weekend.

 

I understand it basically remembers what sound was operating when the layout shorts out.

hi - it was a thread i asked the question on but cant recall the cv number - if you search the early posts in this forum you will find it

I Have had a look but cant seem to find it.

 

Im in no rush for the information anyway , i can modify the locos next week if needs be so hopefully some kind person will see this and post the CV and value.

Set CV 124 to 6 - this will store the current speed and function settings should the power become interrupted.

For Loksound - don't do that to other decoders as it'll do different things

Thanks chaps , i take it those values are ok for Bachmann Sound Locos as there are loksound decoders?

yes, should do it for Bachmann

Have done this to my Bachmann class 37's and it works a treat.

 

Cv 124 to 6 is superb.
