Chalk Farm
Hi everyone, I know this sounds barmy but I need a much maligned K's HP2M Motor to get a K's Terrier, made 40 years ago, on the move again. Can you help this septuagenarian get his little darling working?
roythebus1
Possibly if I know what one looks like! I've got a couple of Ks motors going spare.
Stephen Freeman
Anything else would be an improvement imho
Michael Hodgson
Dreadful b***&! things - won't pull the skin off a rice pudding. Sorry I can't help - I would have chucked them in the bin to the accompaniment of obscene observations about Messrs K's, which is a pity because the kits themselves weren't bad. I've probably still got a few Ks kits I unbuilt because the motors aren't up to the job.
Chalk Farm
Hi roythebus, sorry for the tardy response to your very kind message. I'm newish to RMWeb and thought I would be alerted to any response. Here's a photo of the dreaded HP2M....mostly hated it would appear but I have a Ks Fowler tank with one installed and it still runs OK. I think it was my fault that the Terrier motor went AWOL! Anyway, if you can help I would be very grateful, thanks John
Michael Hodgson
Where's the worm wheel in this - leading axle? Maybe it's just me, but that worm doesn't look far enough forward to engage properly

Chalk Farm
Hi Michael H, the motor is loose in the chassis at the moment as I (hopefully) await a replacement!! Any ideas on a motor that might squeeze into the space available? Thanks for your interest in my very mundane problem...important to me though, of course, John

RMweb Premium uax6 Posted August 6, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 6, 2021 Try a modern can and gearbox, they do fit as I've used the chassis and front end of a terrier for a HR tankie... Andy G
