Tabs
Hi folks, As the title states I am hoping some of those 'in the know' may be able to assist. Once I have located new dwellings I will finally be able to start a layout of Steyning Station in Sussex as though it were in preservation complete with museum etc. Thus far I have only found one chap who has modeled Steyning, at least publicly, who produced a charming 1960s model in N. I was able to gain a better understanding of the original track plan thanks to an image within his video. The buildings, however, although I will be scratch building anyway, will have to be done from photographs as often is the case! However, as there are many a person on the forum I thought it sensible to ask whether anyone has any potential resource links to plans, signal box plans, etc, or perhaps has memories that they may share of the station and/or the line? I have tried the National Archives and National Rail archives with no success. Google searches have provided much history and exterior photographs which have been helpful. Perhaps a visit to Steyning museum may be worth it? I have include a link below for those interested in the build I found on YouTube:

RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted May 24, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 24, 2021 I find the Middleton Press books a good place to start, in this instance you require 'Branch Lines to Horsham' which has good shots of the footbridge, the front of the station building, the side of the water tower and the signal box. Out of print but readily available on the second hand market.
