RMweb Premium Nile Posted December 31, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 31, 2021 The Bachmann and Peco couplings should be compatable, as seen here: The ones on the loco don't have loops as they aren't normally needed, and they look better without them. If you find them reluctant to couple up it could be because the Bachmann coupling is a bit thick. It can be improved with a bit of filing to slim it down, as seen on the right: The slate wagons also come with short couplings for use within the rake only, they won't couple with anything else. 2 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I’ve never been completely clear on why this is. Some people also take the loops off one end of wagons - I have done this with the stock for one of my layouts to make coupling and uncoupling easier. Bemo/Roco/Minitrains couplings are also the same basic design but there is some variation in height between manufacturers. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
