Painting 'Oleo' Buffer Shanks

I've found the Pilot silver paint pen from Paperchase is a good alternative to brush-painting.  It's quicker with no cleaning up afterwards and can assist where the shanks are short, as with N gauge locos and wagons.

If you're doing the buffer bodies in primer, then NATO Cockpit Green is the colour you need.
