RMweb Premium MJI Posted February 18, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 18, 2022 The search appears broken since the update, but I am wondering how to both cut and scribe on the same design. I would like to scribe doors and cut windows, done a lot of cuts but I cannot find the advice for scribing. I have already cut 9 DMU cars so can do the design side, just need to understand the cutting passes. Can anyone help? Thanks Martin
apbolton
Unfortunately you can't do both on a design, because the blade depth cannot be altered during the cutting stage. If I need to do both on a design, I set everything to scribe, by turning the depth the blade cuts, usually number 2, then hand cut by running a scalpel blade along the score lines to remove the bit I want to cut. 1
MikeTrice
In Cameo 3 I draw the two in different colours, say red and black. You can then print all red lines using a light cut or scriber then cut black lines with the blade

apbolton
Wow must get a more up-to-date version, I have the original and you can't do that with it.
RMweb Premium MJI Posted February 20, 2022 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 20, 2022 Split into two pages a 10 thou page and 20 thou page. Redoing the 10 with 1 pass for scribe as it worked too well
