Gulf red walrus?

Whilst I know they won't be 100% accurate I'm converting some Lima sealions to walrus.  Does anyone know if they were ever gulf red and know of and pictures of them?

Also is there a halfords colour close to gulf red, I know their red primer is a deep red

I can only speak for myself, but I find the various red/red oxide primers, when suitably weathered, can pass for brickwork/bauxite/gulf red/maroon coach undercoat amongst others.

I never saw a Gulf Red Walrus but there were at least two Catfish that were stored in the Up Yard at York so painted!

Gulf Red seems judging by photos to be a livery that faded so any shade tending towards pink would probably to be correct at some date.

No reason why Walrus didn't get Gulf Red.

Some remained in the livery into 1994 - it darkened more than went pink (that was Railfreight red!)
