RMweb Premium MJI Posted March 20, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 20, 2022 Mars 2 Pro I know it is possible to get a smooth finish with resin but on some surfaces I am getting a corrugated finish. Using Chitubox with out of box settings. I KNOW I am doing something wrong, but do not know what it is. I have dumped them here, any ideas please? MikeTrice
Can you give us some more information? What are you printing and how have you oriented it with regards to the build platform? Some photos would help.

I will be sanding these smooth but I want to design a couple of wagons not available myself and don't want to spend ages tidying them up.

MikeTrice
Try rotating the items on the Z axis so they are not parallel to the build plate (30 degrees?). 0.05mm for a layer thickness might be improved by going to 0.02mm although it will increase print times.
RMweb Premium MJI Posted March 20, 2022 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 20, 2022 Thanks MIke, would I need to change the exposure though?
MikeTrice
Yes. Try halving it. Most user groups have suggested exposure settings for various machines/resins so it might be worth doing some research. RMweb Premium MJI Posted March 31, 2022 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 31, 2022 I have joined a few groups and reprinted at a rather weird angle, a few holes from the supports but quite a bit better. Hope to complete one apart from brakes this weekend.
