Hi I finally took the plunge and had a go at building my first wagon kit. The kit is by Parkside and is a British Railways 12 Ton goods van with plywood sides.

I'm really pleased with how the kit has gone together but some parts like the solebars can be delicate when cutting them from the sprue.

Anyway I have added some pictures of my wagon.

Hi Kevin,  that’s a neat looking build especially for your first wagon. Be warned - wagon building can quickly become addictive, very addictive!

Very nice so far.  If you can, add rainstrips on the roof over the doors add just a little more to a basic build.

 

As you've added the side vents for a Fruit van, most rainstrips were in three parts, a larger central piece over the doors and then two smaller pieces towards the ends - https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/brfruitvan
