Ex PC power supplies

Hi all

 

looking for a bit of advice, the ex PC power supply that has been operating the lights & accessories for some time has finally given up the ghost.

 

are there any off the shelf supplies that can offer 12 - 16 v dc as well as 5.5 v dc 7 3.3v dc at the same time.

I'd replace it with another ATX (presumably) PC power supply, with suitable over current protection.

Go to your local tip (now called recycling centre) and you will find stacks of old PCs which all have power supplies and 99.9% of them will still be working

....... but, nowadays, few will allow you to rummage around and remove items.

At my 'tip' everything of any value, including old PCs, Monitors, washing machines, TVs, etc are neatly sorted into huge skips with open doors, and if I see something in a general skip (without doors) the staff have been very helpful and extracted the item from the skip it for me.
