Moderators Popular Post AY Mod Posted November 26, 2022 Moderators Popular Post Share Posted November 26, 2022 Revolution Trains wows at Warley! Revolution Trains is delighted to be back at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition at the NEC – the first for three years! The show is invariably the highlight of the model railway year, and this time Revolution had a variety of exciting models on display. FNA-D in 00 and N Taking centre stage were decorated samples of the forthcoming FNA-D modern nuclear flask wagon in 00, and the unpainted first engineering prototype sample in N. The prototypes number 40 and were introduced from 2014; they have now fully replaced the older design. Revolution is offering its model in eight different number sets – with prototypical variations in markings – for £32.95 in both 00 and N. The models can be pre-ordered direct from Revolution or from selected retailers. MMA/JNA second run in 00 00 modellers were also informed that Revolution’s very popular MMA/JNA box wagons will be the subject of a second production run next year. The most popular of the first run liveries – such as DB red – will be rerun, however in addition Revolution will be offering those liveries that have been delivered since the first batch of models was shipped in 2019: Cappagh blue, Touax maroon and Wascosa/Network Rail yellow. There will be some minor tooling amendments to ensure we can prototypically replicate the very latest versions. Class 18 hybrid shunter breaks cover Also on display were first EP samples of the forthcoming Revolution Class 18 shunter. Dispached first were the Beacon Rail version, and the Tata Steel variant. These samples do not have a motor or working lights but were designed to be sent to assist us with checking the fit of components and comparing with the look of the prototype. Once a working sample has been fully assessed and passed Revolution will be looking ahead to the preparation of decorated samples. This model is available to pre-order direct from Rails of Sheffield only. 19
