Network Rail Class 57

Please can someone tell me when Network Rail had the Class 57s and roughly how long? From what I can gather they acquired them in late 2011 and moved to DRS at some point during 2012 but can't find dates.

All six were transferred to Network Rail in September 2011, all but 57305 were repainted yellow  by the end of the year, 57305 followed in February 2012.  DRS took all six from July 2014, all had been repainted out of yellow by that December.

If memory serves, GBRf used them on hire from Network Rail on the Broxbourne-based diagrams in autumn 2013. By the time DRS used them on the Stowmarket circuits in 2014, it was just 57306  left in yellow.

DRS definitely had them in yellow,  the last loco hauled train to be signalled by semaphores over the Thetford line had a pair in yellow

Severely under-utilised, cheaper to get rid and contract out the snow and ice treatment trains to GBRf.

In which case I hope they erased them and not brought them otherwise a bad call unless they made money on them.

Not like a government dinosaur to waste money !
