Aussie_Pete
Folks I'm not a model enthusiast, but I have come into ownership of a Hornby model train known as the Golden Plover. I am not a model railway enthusiast and have no idea if it's value, so I'm looking for guidance as to its value and if it is worth being put into a specialist auction or simply sold as an enthusiasts toy. I've attached some photos and would appreciate any guidance you'd be willing to give http://www.hornbyguide.com/item_details.asp?itemid=2239 Sent from Outlook for Android Edited January 10, 2023 by Aussie_Pete Fix spelling error

RMweb Premium Hilux5972 Posted January 10, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 10, 2023 It’s an 18/19 year old model, first released in around 2004/2005. Just a big standard BR Class A4. Nothing exciting or outstanding really. Wasn’t limited edition or anything.

Thanks for the info - looks like it will be a standard eBay or FB marketplace sale then and not the specialist auction 🤣
G-BOAF
Except for the fact that the decoration and build quality of these early release A4s are MUCH better than those from Hornby's current manufacturers.
