Not a criticism but I think they look a lot better in green.

I sort of agree….i have several…see below. I just wasn’t as happy with my speed control on this one!

The sound effects of the football stadium near the station are very effective...

Oh yes, that was the other reason I didn’t originally use that one!

I turned off 5 live for the blue hymek.

I had my volume low on playback later and forgot.

Hi all,

I have been progressing with the scenics over the last few weeks.

I had a tree I made for another layout that fits quite well in the field in the corner of the hedge. I also recycled some flexible fencing lengths and buried it behind higher grass and brambles in the same style as before.

The lighter higher grass has been put over the original base layer to look like a more neglected area. I have also dipped some painted strips into glue to simulate nettles….you might be able to spot some against the fence in the brambles.

I have also added the gate and extended the fence out of sight on the industrial area.

And added some grass around the bridge and road centre…sorry it is upside down, it isn’t before I attach it!

Hi,

Thanks for the likes.

I also picked up a new loco at the recent Thornbury show. Another Hymek in green with small yellow panels. It was good value used EFE branded but looks suspiciously Heljan to me (backed up by the name on the bogie bottoms). They are such nice simple weighty locos and run like a dream.

Factory weathered but I think I will go a little bit further in the future.

Which reminds me, don’t think I’ve mentioned this….i have weathered the water tower more and removed the arm and pipe to suggest it is no longer used.
