SP Steve Posted February 28, 2023 Share Posted February 28, 2023 (edited) Royal Mail have announced details for a special issue of stamps commemorating LNER A1 locomotive No. 4472 "The Flying Scotsman", scheduled for release on the 9th March 2023. Poignantly the stamps will also be the final issue featuring the silhouette of HM Queen Elizabeth II. G-BOAF Posted February 28, 2023 Share Posted February 28, 2023 I've just ordered a set. Don't normally but the final stamps to feature HM.Q plus Flying Scotsman was too good to miss. Also got a commemorative £2 coin (one of the first with HM.K). I can't help but think this convergence of Scotsman and the last queen stamps is another, albeit small, notch in Flying Scotsman's history, along with her 100mph, America and Australia trips. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
