I have been looking at old photos for figure inspiration and I have come to the conclusion, that era was very dull (colour wise). Industrial areas were male dominated and clothing was like a uniform very much the same in style and all drab colours, plus flat cap. Also working men were all of the same stature. d_greenfield Posted March 13, 2023 Share Posted March 13, 2023 I think you are right although the photo is probably from the Edwardian era to judge from the number of moustaches. I think by 50s younger men might have been bare-headed while labouring as well. A lot of them would have been wearing bits of uniform battledress and berets having served in the forces in WW2. Older blokes would have dressed much like the figures in your picture. Don't forget the gaffer in a trilby. Incidentally what is the source of your figures?
