Firecrest
Hi all, I hope this is the right place for this - my apologies if not, mods please move accordingly... I've really got into the old Crownline conversion kits in a big way, having completed the first one on a Triang Britannia. Now, I'm trying to see what else they produced that will fit my stock. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of the conversion kits please? Many thanks in advance, and apologies again if this is in the wrong place. cypherman
Hi, Crownline ceased trading at least 15 years ago. So any kits out there will probably only available second hand. There are a few on Ebay at the moment I also think that Hattons may still have a couple left of old stock left. Here is a thread about Crownline
RMweb Gold RedgateModels Posted March 14, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 14, 2023 I've got a half started Clan conversion kit on an older Britannia base. It's short of the etched deflectors and nameplates. I might sell it if you're interested.
darthmh
Its a shame their no longer avaiable. I always fancied having a go at their Armstrong conversion kit for the Deans goods. I will have to keep scanning ebay.

Firecrest
Thanks all, as I say they're great kits and so much fun. Just managed to find one for the Triang/Hornby Jinty, which could be an entertaining rebuild... I shall keep looking. Best wishes as ever, Chris
RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted March 18, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 18, 2023 They were regular advertisers in the Railway Modeller, but usually their ads were for their latest additions only. So using that source will take you ages, thumbing through old RM's. Sometimes other advertisers list a number of kits. So you need someone who had a catalogue. stewartingram
I've done the B17 to B2 conversion. Also a more complicated one for the 78xxx. Designed for the Triang Hornby 46400, I used it on the Bachmann version but also used some Michael Edge parts.
