  1. an intresting prototype, I'm looking forward to see how this takes shape.
  2. I don't suppose anyone has a picture of the SteamMotor in Lake with a Dapol Lake Toplight coach attached. I know totally unrealistic but I was intrested in any difference in the shade of Lake used.
  3. Most parts parts suppliers on sell in big boxes, about 30 quid. Depends on how many you want. I would suggest asking a friendly tyre fitting business. I'm sure they could LOSE a few.
  4. It would have to be the KESR Railcars for me.
  5. Morning. It was great to see Ewe in person at the Uckfield show and to put a face to the name. The quality of layouts on show was amazing.
  6. It was great to see the layout in Person at the Uckfield show,
  7. Yes the shade in the photos does look much better.
  8. Hi all. There has been a few questions asked about the bright shade of Lake the photos seen to show, but i cannot seem to find any answers? Is this shade of crimson lake correct as it seems very light compared to models ive seen on GWR.org and pictures of the Dapol Toplights ? Thanks
  9. Hi All, Hornby are now showing some 4 wheel and 6 wheel GWR coaches on preorder, The colour looks different from the previous releases. Has anyone got an info on this?
  10. Its a shame their no longer avaiable. I always fancied having a go at their Armstrong conversion kit for the Deans goods. I will have to keep scanning ebay.
  11. I've got the Dean Sidings Resin Metro kit in my to do box. Would be my first loco build, Following this thread has gotten me to get it out the box and have a go.
  12. A friend of mine travelled round the world by Freighter in the 1950s. He said that the wooden lifeboats were half filled with sea water when in the tropics to stop the seams from seperating.
  13. Maybe the Southern Railway build a special one off with modified doors specifically for the Southampton to Little Muddle traffic
  14. Thanks for sharing. looks great, I think i will crack on with mine in the new year.
  15. I've got the Dean Sidings Metro kit in my to do pile. I've never seen a picture of one build so im presuming there a bit of a Sod to do. Im sure the moment i start they will release a RTR version 100% better than anything i can build.
  16. Maybe a range of 4 and 6 wheel coaches ? 🤣
  17. I'm not sure if there is enough room but what about a windmill and barn like in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?
  18. Its a beautiful layout. It looks a lot bigger than the size it is.
  19. I must admit I really like this building. Will be interesting to see what you come up. Martin
  20. Just found this thread and have signed up as a Friend of Pendon. Hopefully we will be able to visit in the summer.
  21. I just brought some of these kits. Its a Shame they only come BR tTransfers.
  22. Give it a go. With your modelling skills it will be no issues. You can quite often pick up the kits on EvilBay for less than a tenner and worse happens you will have lots of lovely spare parts for future kit modifications.
  23. I've just build my First Wills Craftman building kit and it is a lot easier than I thought. I cut the templates out and stuck onto supplied sheets. I Then cut round them using a new blade stanley knife using a file to tidy up the edges. Then its just like building a kit. very satisfying.
