Hornby Railmaster Activation Key

Not sure if this is officially allowed but does anyone have an activation key I can use to activate the Railmaster software? It seems comical it isn't downloadable as a fully activated program as I have the hardware just can only use two loco's at once.

Have you just downloaded the evaluation version? If this is what you have done then all you need to do is purchase a licence. A phone call or email to Hornby will resolve the issue.

Thanks for the reply. I have had a license previously, attached to the setup disc, which I no longer have. I don't wish to purchase a new license as I've already paid at the time of purchase of the product. 👍

 

if I contact Hornby I feel all they'll do it want to charge me (again)

AFAIK you need the CD in the computer to make the software work.

The CD isn't needed to run the software, the software is downloaded an an evaluation version from Hornby. You then need a license key to activate and get full use of the software (which I have misplaced).

In that case you will either need find the CD you have 'misplaced'  or open your wallet and purchase it again 😉 

 

The provision of a Licence Key by anyone would break their licencing terms and is actually software piracy which if proven can lead to as much as five years imprisonment with a £5,000 fine (though unlikely in this case, but that is the law, and RMWeb would not condone illegal sharing of software)

In the RM folder there is a file called activate.dat, which contains your activation key and the email you registered with.
