Great news that this show is returning in 2024. Hoping the plans include the useful bus connection between Chatham railway station and the dockyard?

This is something we are planning to look into. There is a actual bus service that does make the journey via arriva but we are looking into alternatives

Do exhibitors still need to bring an umbrella to keep the rainwater off their stands, and several pallets to compensate for the terrible levels of the floor?  The old exhibitions in the rope walk warehouse were great, but the move into the covered slips was awful!

Hi James.

Did you get down to Eridge on Saturday ?

We were exhibiting in the waiting room and had our sales stand out on the platform.

We were hoping to have a chat with you about your show.

Look forward to hearing from you.

All the best

Ray

Hello

I did get down there once but bumped into a couple of mates which the chat took alot longer then planned and had to get back on train to go back. Will you be exhibiting at folkestone

Cheers james

Well unfortunately the move to the slip wasn't a club decision it was a dockyard choice as the fitted rope walk warehouse was turned into offices.

Regarding the slip as it is now.  It has been resurfaced as it is now used as a car park so the surface is alot better and flatter.

And the roof has had alot of work done to it. They also now hold a gaming festival in the slip. Which I'm pretty sure if it wasn't fixed would not happen.

Since the last exhibition was held there, car parking charges have now been introduced, currently £3.50 up to 7 hours, although it`s free to museum visitors. Will it be free for visitors to the exhibition?

Unfortunately not we did try hard to get it. We are in talks currently of hiring out a car park across the road which we will be doing free parking for show visitors

Hi James.

Steve is exhibiting in Folkestone, but he is not involved with Crystal Palace. Gary and I will not be down there.

Have you made a decision about inviting Crystal Palace ?

If you have any questions, please let me know.

All the best

Ray

So a update we have been busy working out building a new website and alot of other things at the club.

We are also happy to announce advance tickets are available on our website now which mean you can get in at 9.30am instead of 10am . www.chatham.show.

Ticket prices are:

Adult £10 on the door or £9 in advance

Under 16s are free with a paying adult

There is also Half price entry to the Historic Dockyard Chatham with a show ticket. It actually works out cheaper to come to the show and the Historic Dockyard then to just visit the Historic dockyard

We will also have a commissioned wagon by Rapido Trains which will be available at the show
