GWR China Clay Wagon Diagram 0.13 Buffers

Hello,

I'm wanting to build a rake of China Clay wagons from Parkside (and an Ian Kirk) wagon kits, set in the late 1920s/early 1930s.

I'm wanting to upgrade the buffers from the plastic ones but I'm not sure if there are any superior after market ones available.

 

Also, are there any other after market upgrades that can be made to improves these kits?

I use buffers from Lanarkshire Model Supplies. BO31.

Lanarkshire Model Supplies buffers are very good, used on 90% of my kit builds.

At some point the brakes changed from the Dean lever at the end to the more usual long one pivoting in the centre. I don't know when as I model much later but I'm sure its covered in discussion of these wagons elsewhere if you do a search.
