waggy Posted August 11, 2023 Share Posted August 11, 2023 (edited) Wow 60 years, my first visit was in August 1967 as a 13 year old, I remember a roundy roundy layout in the room which is now the stock room up the small flight of stairs. It was my first visit to York and I remember seeing my first Deltic at the station it was so busy and started many train spotting trips in the late 60's and early 70's. Congratulations on being a year younger than me. Bought the train set that started me off on all this from Monk Bar in 1975 with my own Christmas money! I have your 40th anniversary souvenir model on display, and it *doesn’t* seem like 20 years since I bought it…aaarghh.
