Help needed! PBV guards duckets or lookouts.

I have several GW PBVs on the bench and I'm struggling to put the duckets together without damaging the very fine etched brass lookouts to the front and rear. Any tips on reducing the singed fingers and swearing, would be much appreciated.

Despite what other around these parts reckon, there sometimes comes a point, for whatever reason, when superglue is the weapon of choice.

It doesn't make you a bad person.
