Having just joined I ought to do a short introduction.

Returning to railway modelling after 60 years prompted by moving to a bungalow with a large, easily accessible loft.

The plan is to model Wombourn station on a branch of the GWR Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton line in OO scale.

Made a start, but "we're going to need a bigger baseboard" if I replicate the whole section from the road bridge to beyond the goods yard. Might have to 'compress' the platform area and goods loop.

I have a .jpg of the 1913 plans from the National Archives which is a great help.

Searching the forum I see several references to people with an interest in this forgotten corner of a pre Beeching  world. We often go for a walk there and a cuppa in the station building which is now a cafe.

I have. Plus a couple of others that give it a mention.

D'oh. The answer to my question was staring me in the face. Even in monochrome this is obviously a two colour livery.
Acknowledgments to Ned Williams.
