steve1
Could someone please enlighten me as to the identity of this loco, both prototype and model manufacturer? (The black one.) Thanks steve Edited March 22 by steve1 Clarity
RMweb Gold franciswilliamwebb Posted March 22 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 22 GP50, could well be Bachmann as they did one with that running number.
RMweb Premium Keith Addenbrooke Posted March 22 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 22 If it’s an HO Scale model I’d go for Bachmann USA 61241 model of a high hood EMD GP50 #6551 of the Norfolk Southern. The GP50s were introduced in 1980, with most new purchase operators having low hoods - the Southern had their built with high hoods, and these later became Norfolk Southern Locomotives. Some have been rebuilt, but I’m afraid I wouldn’t know what to look for to find out if this is a model of one that has been rebuilt or not. Happy to be corrected if wrong, but hope this helps, Keith.

RMweb Premium Rich_F Posted March 22 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 22 It's a Bachmann. From looking at the various US railfan sites I browse, NS 6551 IRL is actually an SD60 standard cab loco.
