Johnson044
Please can anyone identify this motor? It has me baffled. It's part of an un-finished brass 3-rail or stud contact 00 gauge LBSCR I1 (or maybe I3?) that I picked up from Ebay a while back. No markings at all except for "5" on top and bottom steel pole piece. It's 67mm long overall. Thank you for any possible ideas folks. John

Johnson044
Thanks Kevin. An interesting site but definitely not Romford and don't think it is Hamblings, K's, Stewart Reidpath, Read Maxwell or Pittman. Struggling to find anything about Rocket Precision.
russell price
looks Zenith to me.
roythebus1
It looks more like K's, but the pole pieces and magnet belong more to the Triang X04, so I'd go for Zenith.
Miss Prism
Another vote for Zenith. The designer was a Jack Hefford iirc, and shows characteristics of a precursor to the XT60.
Johnson044
What you say makes sense, Miss Prism. The little motor exudes precision and quality - knocks spots off anything K's ever produced.
