PenrithBeacon
I visited the Bluebell Railway yesterday and the film has been uploaded to YouTube. Locations are Kingscote, Birchstone Bridge, Birch Farm foot crossing, Horsted Keynes, New Road and Sheffield Park. It was a big surprise to find 34059 ‘Sir Archibald Sinclair’ on the ‘Golden Arrow’ and this engine can be seen at Birch Farm, Horsted Keynes and shunting at Sheffield Park. Other engines in steam were E4 class B473 and U Boat 1638 which currently has it’s number painted out on the buffer beam. 55 ‘Stepney’ was seen at Sheffield Park out of steam as was 3 ‘Baxter’ which was being painted in the engine shed. A number of locos are currently stored out of use in the up yard at Horsted Keynes and these are briefly glimpsed as is the steel work for ‘Operation Undercover’ at Sheffield Park. That’s it I think, I hope everyone enjoys the film! Regards

RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted July 28, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 28, 2010 Lovely video. I do miss this railway which was only 30 minutes from where I used to live and where I spent several very pleasant years working, mainly at Kingscote. Happy memories. Thanks.
