Lovely photo Peter. Hope you don't mind but I have changed it slightly. Maybe it's a loco for Middle Earth Railways.

How'd do that Martin?

Hi Peter,

You need to use a photo editor which includes a Perspective correction function -- in this case Vertical perspective. In addition the image usually needs a slight rotation left or right, followed by cropping back to a rectangular frame.

I used my trusty ancient copy of PaintShopPro which came free on a computer magazine cover disk about 15 years ago and I have been using ever since:

A slider tool appears in which you can adjust the amount of correction needed.

I assume there are such controls in Photoshop, although I know nothing about that program. Instead for the full works editing I use GIMP which is free and can do everything you could possibly want:

Download GIMP from: http://www.gimp.org

For tutorials in using the perspective controls in GIMP, see:

Which are in fact the most visited pages on my web site. :)

Martin.

For the record, this is how it looks in Photoshop Elements.  Mine is v.2 but I expect the principles are similar in later versions.

In the 'Image' menu, select 'Transform', then 'Perspective'.  Use the mouse to drag the corner handles to get the effect you want.  If you choose 'Free Transform', in the same menu, you can also rotate or stretch the image in any direction.
