RMweb Premium NGT6 1315 Posted August 4, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 4, 2010 According to this post, it would seem that Bachmann have acquired the tooling for at least part of Mehano's H0 scale model range and will re-release them from about next year onwards - with the Class 66 and the SNCB class 77 shunters being among the models coming up for resurrection. These will also be given some improvements around the motor and drivetrain. I'd certainly be glad if this were to turn out to be true!
Bernard Lamb
Let's hope there is some truth behind this story. I wonder how far they actually got with the Ganz railcar. Bernard
CraigZ
I like this. I have wanted a Mehano 66 but couldn't stomach the paint jobs and the mechanism was iffy...
meld
latest post on that thread is a reply from Dennis @ Bachmann to an enquiring email, which reads ... "Many thanks for your email. Bachmann Europe used to distribute the Mehano range in the UK but has not done so since the closure of the factory a couple of years back. I am not aware of any activity relating to Mehano - which is not in current production. I am sorry that I cannot be of assistance Dennis Lovett Public Relations Manager Bachmann Europe Plc" Mike

Craig, I have one in the DLC grey livery and it runs a treat. smooth, quiet and controllable, just like an Atlas Alco in fact. steve
