Some pictures from Tuzla of ZFBH 661's, STD and NG at Banovici Coal Mine and the KreigsLok 55 from the Kreka coal mine on diplay at Lukavac Yard in this Flickr Album https://flic.kr/s/aHsjXMnGp7 Meld
  4. The VIX wagons have recently been produced by Rapido and Sonic models offering many liveries from either manufacturer covering their lifespans. There is also the older Hornby, ex Triang, version available too in z selection of liveries from through out their lifespan. Meld.
  5. Just received my clutch of Cavalex 56's from John Dutfield models this morning via Personal Delivery which is service above and beyond IMHO, especially as there is a slight matter of the Dartford Crossing between locations !!! Many many Thanks to Ken and Heather for stunning and superb service. 1st one out of the box is 56120, which will be on the work bench soon to see some weathering so it can pull my rake of Accurascale Cawoods PFA's and hopefully allow it to look something similar to the pictures I have of it running through the Old Manchester Victoria on a loaded export coal service from way back in the mists of time. Still got the biggest grin on my chops at the quality of this model! Meld.
  6. Hi Arun, This is welcome news and I would be looking for some DMSO's to go with my TSO's that I bought a while ago. Meld
  7. It Started to go out of use when the three Freight Companies ( Transrail, Loadhaul and Mainline ) were formed in 1994 as they started to overhaul/ convert and/or repaint stock as needed into their respective house liveries, and of course then there was Ed and his EWS and their many pots of Maroon and Gold paint in 1996 :). However, many of the Salmons that have been converted to Ospreys are still in 'Dutch' livery, showing that just because something got re-purposed they didn't always get a repaint ! As other have said, give the combined Hive mind on here and idea of your project and timescale and your get more targeted answers for your enquiry . Meld
  8. He does. You do. 1.31% for 4mm or 00 or 1/76 or 1/76.2. HTH. Meld
  9. This Vehicle is in Sat-Link Red and Yellow livery. Although it could be mistaken for weathered EWS Maroon and Gold. ( The 12T Pipe wagon creeping into the picture on the left is a weathered Sat-Link open ). The Yellow Liveried Low-Macs may have been part of the BR Engineering group of vehicles used in BR Breakdown Train Units and not a Network Rail vehicle. As ever Rule 1 is always in operation.
  10. Hi Fran, Anymore news on these being available from yourselves please ? Nothing has been put up on here despite Steve saying he had posted them to you, I know you guys have been busy with receiving goodies and posting all that lovely stuff out. Many Thanks in Advance Meld
  11. Wow!! 10 sets, plus a Queen Mary. Maybe half the prototype rake then Lucy!?!
  12. Fran, you really need to announce another WoE NSE BFK as these trains run with a pair back to back in the middle ( sic ) of the formations - 50 + 9 was the usual loading. Meld.
  13. Gearbox changed and modifications to improve reliability. Meld.
  14. The T&W 143's were delivered in that livery from Alexander ( Hunslet-Barclay for the Chassis ), predominantly a Bus body building specialist .. ISTR the 142's were repaints of the ex Chocolate and Cream liveried "Skippers", so this has probably led to a different shade of yellow ( right or wrong for the then current T&W Yellow ?? ) being used at the depot level repaint. HTH Meld
  15. 69007 in Tonbridge West Yard, 11/1/23. On the Country end of a SITT formation. A rather dirtier 69006 was on the other end. Camera Phone Snapette whilst at work, taken from a position of safety.
  16. like this Peco - Parkside one ?? https://www.hattons.co.uk/259847/parkside_models_pc53_12_ton_br_insulated_fish_van_dia_800_plastic_kit/stockdetail Meld
  17. Woolwich Dockyard is a 10 car platform and without spending loads of money cutting into the tunnels at either end cannot be extended to 12 coaches. Therefore 12 car services do not call there. Meld
  18. If you want to do Ashford, your better off starting with 003 and adding the RFD branding, as the Railfreight Distribution and logo are inboard more away from the cab doors, the RfD logo is more inline with the inner of the pair of grilles. A Flickr search will help you out on this. HTH Meld.

    Class 59 in 00

If it the one with the "breathed over" model pictured on the Viaduct on Hayley Mills, I did my best with it and what was available to help it try to look like something near a 150/2 all those years ago, just proves that even with that ( simple ? ) work there really wasn't anything you could do to make it better! Meld
  20. Pendant mode on .... RM 238 is NSE Poppy Red, RM328 is Ice Blue ... Pendant mode off ISTR that I used Humbrol Gloss 47 when the Parkside kit came out all those years ago ... it was then weathered with a series of dark grey washes. Most pictures that I could find to work from showed that these vans never stayed that clean due to the hard worked nature of the trains I guess
  21. As this Model is shown to portray a VEV, it should be on a Roller Bearing Chassis. It would be nice to think the production model will come with one underneath it. Meld
  22. Different sized body, different number of doors, different Chassis shape, different Chassis details. The same, but very, very different. Meld
  23. Hi Fred, Perhapes some kind soul could ask them tomorrow and report back. Failing that, they do have a "Contact Us" button on the web site too . Meld
