carl1967
hi all Ferry build 2 is MV Glen Sannox for Dave (waverley west) its in 4mm scale. she is getting full lighting, revolving radar, and sound, all run on DCC, Well thats the plan anyway i will be building this along with C Princess and will post pictures of it progress. MV Glen Sannox as she will look, i have had to put alot of thought in to this build, her hull at the stern is going to be a challenge! the sheer from the car deck to the water line is very sharp and i have to get it right. (out with the 24" rip saw) i will post pictures of the build soon.
Ragtag
Another one!? Blimey, look forward to seeing both the ship and Dave's layout develop.
Guest Max Stafford
Had a couple of trips on Glen Sannox as a youngster; the first when she had a blue hull and buff funnel, the last in 1980 when she was on the Ardrossan-Brodick run. It follows therefore that I'll be watching this thread with some interest. Dave.

Guest Max Stafford
Ah well, looks like I might be able to have a shave with a bit of her one day! Not as disappointing as losing the wee Queen Mary though... Dave.
scotcent
I travelled to Arran every year from 1954. In the early days it was the Marchioness of Graham normally, and when Glen Sannox came on in 1957 she seemed (and was) enormous. But how small she now appears, and how sad to see her end. I look forward to seeing the completed model Allan F

Waverley West
Hi Carl, Just settling myself down and making myself comfortable. Thought I might watch this one. In case anyone's wondering how this fits in with my plans for Waverley West, it doesn't really. It's part of a completely separate long-term plan to build a layout based on Oban in the 1980s (hopefully to exhibit). Space and time will determine whether and if so when it gets built. However, once complete I'm sure Glen Sannox will see occasional service on sailings to/from Clagmeister's Caolisport in the meantime. Cheers, Dave Waverley West

The ramp to the ferry and the concourse is the height of Victorian elegance but no real operational intrest. Carl, another stunner I'm sure.
